Visit from Auntie Kate & Last OR Days with Grace (et al)

Auntie Kate came for a visit which, of course, was fabulous.

There was a family bike ride to the park. Kate had the awesome privilege of riding "Banana Mae". Ask her about it sometime!

There was sliding...

There was swinging...
There were Auntie Antics...
By day, Kate and I worked on our respective writing projects. It was great to have a cohort in the library--it kept us both focused. Then we would lunch, pick up the kids and the real work would start! :)

We were able to escape for a night out on the town on Friday. It was a fun evening of good food, lots of great wine and conversations that only periodically ended in someone hollering or throwing food! ( ;

Terrence, Erica and Grace were loading up to leave for an adventure in Indiana. So there was some packing assistance--aka take Grace to the park to play!

How we all felt about packing and moving.

Some weird parenting ad...it's fabulous.

Storming the castle:

There was some super-secret-sticker pact between Maya and Grace. I'm afraid to know what was discussed.

Then there were train goodbyes.

Our family got quite a bit smaller in quick fashion. It was a quiet sad weekend.
