Ah, the adventures of going home change with each baby. With Maya, we stayed the full 2 days after the birth and then drove home and stared at her for several hours. With Finley, we only stayed 24 hours and then headed home and lived in the chaos of life with a newborn and 2.5 year old. And with Claire, we stayed the 24 hours and went straight to Maya's ballet class and jumped into the Thomas Family schedule! We all still had our hospital tags on everything!

And that is as far as our documentation goes. It was a whirlwind. Of course it takes much longer to get discharged from the hospital than you would ever expect. So, Danny took Maya to dance in Grandma Sandy's car and Grandma Sandy, Finley, Claire and I waited and waited and waited. Finally...we headed to dance class and then home! Whew!
It felt really, really nice to be home!
