Grandma Help

We were extraordinarily fortunate that Grandma Sandy was able to come up and spend 5 days with us after Claire was born.

She drove up on Tuesday afternoon and stayed with the girls that night while Danny and I were at the hospital. Wednesday-Friday she helped us maintain sanity during the school week schedule. She also helped us get a rhythm started with bedtime! I'm pretty sure she did every stitch of laundry possible and made us several home-cooked meals. She left on Sunday and Danny and I quickly realized that we were no longer in man-to-man coverage but more like zone!

Throughout the week/weekend, Grandma kept the girls busy and entertained! One of the primary activities was making Valentine's cookies!!!

Grandma and Maya took on the making of the dough.

All three ladies worked on rolling out, cutting and getting the cookies on the sheet.

There was a fair amount of taste-testing.

Then it was time to frost the cookies.

And again, more taste testing.

And more.
The finished product.

Posing with their favorite cookie.

There was even time for snuggles with Claire.

The skin around Claire's right eye has broken down a bit because of her eye having some goopy discharge. It gets better and worse each day. The doctor gave us some antibiotics to take care of it. Her little chin is rubbed a bit as well from all her nursing! Such a delicate flower.
